Slope Wall Stability and Biodiversity Promotion:The Use of Gramineae-Bambusoideae (BAMBOO)

Biodiversity management
Education and raising awareness

This research is about investigating into the use of Gramineae-Bambusoideae as an alternative to the use of elephant grass as a biological geotextile for the stability of slopes. It came about due to the shortfalls that were identified with the use of elephant grass for slope stability. It will involve using stems (cut along the long axis) of Gramineae-Bambusoideae to make mat like structure for the slope stability and biodiversity promotion.
