BRINGING LIFE TO QUARRY BIODIVERSITY - CONNECTING QUARRY,SCHOOLS & COMMUNITY TO NATURE

Biodiversity management
Connecting with local communities
Education and raising awareness
Rehabilitation & habitat research

Biodiversity found on earth is today is the result of approximately 3.5 billion years of evolution. however, since the dominance of humans, especially in the development activities, biodiversity has began a rapid decline, with one species after another suffering extinction.

quarrying , just like any other human development activities, causes habitat destruction and damages to biodiversity.

Biodeversity conservation on the quarry site is important as all species are interlinked and our survival depends on this fine balance that exists within nature.

The projects will impart the knowledge of the interlinked and interdependence of biodiversity to students so that they may be aware, raise awareness and innovate approaches for the survival of biodiversity at quarry sites.
